2001 Chicago Auto Show

A number of cars we've seen so far this show season are evolved from icons of another era, and here's Mercury's contribution: a four-door, five-passenger performance sedan based on the first Marauder originally produced in 1963. First seen as a concept car at the 1998 SEMA show, the 2003 Marauder will be powered by a 4.6-liter DOHC V-8 engine capable of producing more than 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Four-speed automatic transmission, performance suspension, P235/50ZR18 front and P245/55ZR18 rear high-performance tires, and monochromatic black styling complete the package. Look for it in the summer of 2002 as a 2003 model.
