2001 Chicago Auto Show

A supercharged engine, new styling, and a refined interior are among the changes for Nissan's 2002 Xterra. The optional 3.3-liter/210-horse supercharged V-6 engine produces up to 246 lb-ft of torque and joins the existing 3.3-liter/170-horse V-6 or 2.4-liter/143-horse four-cylinder engine lineup. Supercharged Xterras are available in two- and four-wheel drive, with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Supercharged Xterras boast 265/65R17 tires, while XE and SE Xterras are shod in 265/70R16 tires. Options include utility, power, audio, and enthusiast packages. Pricing has not yet been announced.
