2001 Detroit Auto Show

Face it, America loves the Thunderbird, and Ford wants us to have it. In fact, Ford announced it will in production this summer, powered by a 3.9-liter V-8 engine with a five-speed automatic transmission. Rear-drive, like the original, but with four-wheel independent suspension, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, head and chest side airbags, and priced between $35,495 and $39,795 fully loaded. Where do we get in line?
