Jaguar is attacking the fast-growing compact sedan market with its new X-Type. When it goes on sale this summer, Jaguar's first all-wheel-drive model will start at $29,950 when powered by a 2.5-liter/194-horsepower V-6, and bumps up to $35,950 when powered by a 3.0-liter/231-horsepower V-6 engine. Boasting performance and agility, the efficient luxury sedan features five-speed manual or auto tranny, bird's eye walnut veneers, and Connelly leather seating. ABS, automatic climate control, cruise control, high-tech satellite navigation system, and remote keyless entry round out the list of available luxury amenities.
