2001 Tokyo Motor Show

The new Audi A4 Cabriolet made its world debut at Frankfurt and continues its auto show tour here in Tokyo. Two engine choices, a 170-hp/2.4-liter and a 220-hp/3.0-liter aluminum V-6, are available for the front-driver, as well as an optional continuously variable multitronic automatic transmission. Ride and handling are boosted by a four-link front suspension and trapezoidal-link rear suspension, both lowered and tuned specifically for this model. The four-seat convertible boasts an electrohydraulic top and heated glass rear window as standard equipment. Audi is taking orders now, though delivery will begin in April 2002.
