2001 Tokyo Motor Show

In the twilight of its model run, the exotic NSX is treated to a nip-and-tuck facelift to carry the aluminum-intensive sports car until the all-new model is introduced. Honda has liberally applied its Type R treatment to the NSX with this "concept," slathering the car in carbon fiber and attitude. Like SoCal street racers, Honda has left the carbon exposed au natural, making it easy to spot the carbon hood, rear spoiler, and engine compartment cover. Other noticeable enhancements include MOMO three-spoke steering wheel, Recaro carbon fiber seats, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Performance enhancements were focused strictly on weight savings, which translates to horsepower in the bank. Indications are that this model will see production but not be imported to the States.
