2001 Tokyo Motor Show

Looking like a child's toy, the semicircle-shaped Covie provides a cut-n-cuddly platform for illustrating the types of synergies that exist with the General Motors and Suzuki alliance. Covie combines GM fuel cell technology in a cleverly crafted Suzuki micro car. The fuel cell system generates power by separating hydrogen from natural gas supplied to a household, creating clean electric power for the motor and generating warm water for the house. The house/car relationship also ties in with the computer system, which networks with the house to provide two-way communication. The interior features a center-dash 12-inch display for accessing computer functions. A truly tiny car, the passenger compartment extends only to the sliding doors' trailing edge.
