Kia has stuffed this spicy little Picanto with value, aiming it at young, active families in need of versatility. Outside, the Picanto has Euro-inspired flair, while the interior focuses on functionality and ergonomics, offering no fewer than 18 cabin storage nooks and 31 cubic feet of stowage (with rear seats folded). The five-door A-car is powered by a choice of 1.0- or 1.1-liter gasoline engines capable of making 62 or 63 horsepower respectively. With that, Kia claims 0-60-mph times of 15.8 seconds and a top speed of 94 mph, all while managing fuel economy as high as 56 mpg. Standard features include ABS, electronic brake force distribution to help prevent skidding and aid wheel grip, driver and passenger airbags, and an instant mobility tire system that replaces the spare and reduces vehicle weight. Kia expects to sell 120,000 of the poquito Picantos per year globally.
