The baby Landie continues to mature, adopting more Range Rover cues and even performance. New front bumper, headlamps, and grille distinguish the 2004 model, with a revised rear bumper and taillamps completing the exterior enhancements. The interior boasts a more dramatic freshening, with new instruments, switchgear, door trims, seats, and upholstery. Europeans will also get a Sport model, with 18-inch wheels, firmer suspension, and lowered ride height delivering improved on-road performance. Land Rover claims the Freelander Sport will be the sharpest handling production model offered by the British firm.
