This wild concept is the dreamchild of Stefan Schulze, a 32-year-old graphic artist who won a Peugeot design contest earlier this year. The web-based contest drew 2800 entries from amateur designers creating their vision of retro, futurist style. The submissions had to have a clear Peugeot theme, recall a historic model, and be innovative. Beyond a cash prize, Schulze earned the privilege of seeing his creation transformed into a full-scale clay model for show in Frankfurt. The design inspiration was a 1936 Peugeot 406, which shares a similar grille with hidden headlamps. With the model enhanced by aluminum, fiberglass, exhaust tips, door mirrors, and 21-inch wheels/tires, the ultimate effect is very convincing.
