2003 Frankfurt Motor Show Coverage

Although a clear depature for Jaguar, there is really nothing more British than offering an "estate" or wagon variant. Jaguar expects the stylishly rendered wagon to expand the X-Type's appeal, reaching out to families looking for more versatility and cargo-toting ability than a traditional sedan. With crossover craze fueling new niche vehicles, the standard all-wheel-drive system will lend further appeal to the Estate. All three trim levels boast more cargo space than the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class wagons. Like other 2004 X-Types, the Estate will be available with a sporty carbon-fiber accented fascia and Alcantara seat trim. Look for the Estate to go on sale spring 2004.
