Neutral territory becomes the latest automotive battleground

At first glance, the radically styled Chrysler Airflite looks like a coupe but it's actually an under-5-meter-long four-door hatch that shows the RWD version of the Chrysler LX has overseas aspirations. While Chrysler's Trevor Creed says the Airflite is a concept, and is not the clear picture of Chrysler's version of the upcoming LX (as was the Dodge Magnum sports tourer), the Airflite clearly indicates Chrysler's future design direction. While the four bucket seats may be an impractical throwback to the 1966-1967 Dodge Charger, its variation of the Crossfire's rear deck gives us reason to suspect that the Airflite is close to reality.
