2003 Geneva Motor Show
Leave it to Rinspeed Design to come up with a unique variation on the evergreen Porsche 911. Like a transformer toy, at the push of a button the Rinspeed Bedouin can be transformed from a roomy two-seater pickup into a sporty yet spacious four-seater wagon. The design cues culled from SUV influences hide the fact that the Bedouin is powered by clean-burning natural gas Porsche Boxer six. It claims to be the fastest natural gas vehicle in the world capable of sub-6-second sprints from 0 to 60. The entire body is made from from Pre-Preg composites, combing a low specific weight with extraordinarily high strength.
