BMW's Alpina tuning house has come up with a unique interpretation of the Z8, but the tariff isn't cheap. You'll need to dig deep and come up with $137,600. The biggest problem isn't likely to be the price; rather it will be its exclusive nature, 555 worldwide with just 400 destined for the US. The Z8-based roadster is the first of what could become a series of official Alpina imports. While the styling of the Z8 has not been universally admired, the Alpina version looked great in silver and evokes some of the same feelings one gets viewing a classic BMW 507 from the 1950s.
