First seen at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the R-D6 arrives in the United States demonstrating a potential configuration for a premium coupe, or at least a coupe-like sedan. The sensuous aluminum- and composite-intensive car reveals a design style that we're told will be used with future Jaguar cars. The interior is an interesting blend of premium materials and modern, minimalist design, combining the worlds of luxury sedans and racecars. Under the hood is a 2.7-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that produces 230 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, a combination strong enough to propel the lightweight car to 60 mph in less than six seconds and reach an electronically limited 155-mph top speed. Makes diesel sound more appealing, doesn't it?
