The Maserati Quattroporte returns to the United States with an all-new, Pininfarina-penned design. Following on the heals of the successful introductions of Maserati's Coupe and Spyder, the Quattroporte is slated to fill a conspicuous void in the Italian automotive industry. First indications are that the Quattroporte will live up to its promise of proving the Italians can compete with the Germans in the premium luxury market. Extravagance and performance go hand in hand, as the latest Trident-marque offering is sumptuously furnished with a tailored leather and wood interior to complement the curvaceous design. As expected from a sports car manufacturer, the Quattroporte sedan can motor to 60 mph in just over five seconds.
