Pontiac has treated is versatile Vibe to a midlife freshening, reflecting the future Pontiac styling as exhibited on the production G6 and Solstice. Beyond the new front fascia and grille, the '05 Vibe has a long list of new and refined available features that includes new fabrics, leather upholstery, side-curtain airbag with side thorax bags, automatic door locks, tire pressure monitor, StabiliTrak vehicle stability system, and "Moon & Tunes" entertainment package with subwoofer. Twin to the Toyota Matrix, the Vibe will continue to be offered in front- and all-wheel drive, with a choice of 130-hp and 180-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engines. Production of the 2005 Vibe begins in May at New United Motor Manufacturing in Fremont, California.
