Designed in Murcia, Spain, this diminutive roadster is powered by one of two versions of Ford's European four-cylinder engine making 145 or 195 horsepower, and selling for a price of 35,000 to 39,000 Euros. The look is rather like a Smart Roadster scaled up for tall people. Open-air motoring entails removing a one-piece targa-type top. Why should you care? Because a manufacturer has been identified in Boston, and the Xtamy is expected to go on sale in the U.S., powered by a Focus 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and not as a kit car, but as a crash-tested, fully homologated vehicle. But don't hold your breath--no on-sale date has been determined yet.
