A wider track means improved handling, but it also can give a car a whole new look. Here, Chevrolet created a Wide Body configuration of the Cobalt SS. While the Stage II 2.0-liter supercharged engine and five-speed manual transmission remain stock, transformation of the Wide Body meant an alteration of the stock track width (which was increased by 64 mm in the front and rear) and the installation of fender flares, rocker-panel extensions, and extended fascias. Suspension was lowered one inch in front, 1.3 in the rear.
