The Coolest Highlights from This Year's Auto Shows
As Toyota's RAV4 gets bigger, so does the Santa Fe. Hyundai's SUV now has a third row and all-new sheetmetal. It'll come with a choice of a 180-horsepower, 2.7-liter V-6 or a 230-horsepower 3.3-liter V-6, which is said to be lighter, more fuel efficient, and cleaner burning than the 3.5 it replaces, while producing 30 more horsepower. The SUV has ESC and six standard airbags, including side air curtains. It also features standard equipment like four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. Compared with the first-gen, the new Santa Fe is about seven inches longer, one inch wider, and almost two inches taller, and its track is 2.9 inches wider--which is wider than that of the Ford Explorer.
