Here's one way to push back the Honda Ridgeline - build a unibody Dodge pickup truck with a 340-horsepower, 390 pound-foot 5.7-liter Hemi under the hood. The Dodge Rampage concept makes another appearance at the 2006 New York Auto Show showing its twin objective to be both a family-size passenger cabin and exceptional pickup utility. In order to reach this goal, the designers dramatically reconfigured the proportions of a truck to include minivan features like Stow-N-Go back row and front passenger seating (with all seats in use, the Rampage is able to carry five passengers). Its tailgate folds down far enough to be used as a ramp. There's a compartment behind the rear bumper that makes room for 2x4s from Home Depot (a shot at the Ridgeline's under-bed trunk) and the dashboard center stack swivels to face the driver or passenger. Bad news for the future of the Rampage Concept is that the Ridgeline isn't selling well enough to incite a new competitor, and besides, that big, honking Hemi powers the Rampage's front wheels.
