Show Business: Best Trucks from SEMA 2007

Bio Hydro F-450
It may be hard to imagine, but this truck is actually green-friendly. Galpin Auto Sports' F-450 Super Duty is a biodiesel hydrogen hybrid-and not just B5 or B20, but B100. The Ford puts out an estimated 500 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque. It's even green on the inside, with a hemp headliner by Enviro textiles and carpet made from recycled bottles. Innovation aside, it's still a show truck, as reflected by the bright lime-green and silver paint job, custom leather interior, monitors mounted in the front and rear, a camera harnessed to the rear license plate, and a custom console.

Robby Gordon Race Truck
This vehicle isn't exactly one modified with parts you could put on your daily driver-but it is an awesome truck. At this year's SEMA show (in Toyo's booth), Team Dakar USA announced Robby Gordon chose off-road racer and Dakar alum Ronn Bailey as Gordon's teammate for the Dakar rally. Gordon finished eighth overall in the two-week-long 2007 event in this ultracool Hummer H3. Gordon and Bailey will attempt to be the first Americans to get the overall win in the race's history.

FJ Cruiser Convertible
Toyota showed this convertible project in its show space at SEMA, and we were surprised by how well the idea of a softtop FJ Cruiser works. Bestop performed the conversion, using a manual top that still manages to maintain the 'Cruiser's shape when up. The show truck has removable windows, too, creating the potential for Jeep-like levels of open-air off-roading. The SUV also has 35-inch Mud Grapplers on 17-inch beadlock wheels and an off-road camera system.

Crocker Jeep
This Jeep is certainly more street-biased than you would expect in Truck Trend, but under its hood lies one of the coolest modifications we've ever seen done to a Wrangler. Crocker Off-Road Performance's 2007 Rubicon is now powered by a 6.1-liter Hemi, making this 445-horse Wrangler the first that could be considered an SRT. Behind the V-8 is an Allison 545AT and cat-back exhaust. The company also added a larger aluminum radiator, four-inch lift, and custom interior with racing seats.

TLC Icon Pickup
Imagine finding an FJ40 or FJ45 that's bone-stock, has no miles on it, and doesn't have a speck of rust. TLC, a classic Land Cruiser restoration/modification company in Southern California, is building vehicles that are as close as you can get to that pipe dream. The Icon is its version of the classic Land Cruiser, which uses a powdercoated aluminum body on an original FJ frame. The Icon comes with a choice of V-8 gas engines or a biodiesel-friendly powerplant. Seen here is the pickup version of the Icon, based on the FJ45.
