2005 Frankfurt Motor Show: 2007 Dodge Caliber Photo Gallery

Sporty with functionality

As the spiritual successor to the Dodge Neon, the Caliber will offer more function with a sporty five-door configuration but offers a coupe-like profile. The versatile platform will be modified for use in the Jeep Patriot and Compass models, and serve as a performance test-bed for Dodge. Expect the Caliber to be marketed as a bigger, better compact car, with all the practicality of an SUV. Powertrain options will follow other platform models with the new 2.4-liter I-4 gas engine, as well as the 2.0-liter direct-injection turbodiesel for international markets. Both will have DaimlerChrysler's CVT2 for improved fuel economy and seat-of-the-pants power feel.
