Chicago Auto Show 2008: Serious Cutaway Envy

Walking the show reveals some serious cutaway envy going on. Three of the most recently introduced half-ton pickup trucks have displays where their vehicles are cut in half. This is great because you get to see parts and pieces from angles you've never seen before: catalytic converters cut in half, what's it like inside the roof layers, the seats, the driveshaft, the tire. All cool stuff. Sort of like a science museum, but this year everyone's had the same idea. A lot of showing off, but nothing is really going prove anything until we see these trucks in action. We know what the Tundra will do, now we want to see what kind of response the new F-150 and Ram can offer. This will be a fun race to run and watch. Look for more when we drive these trucks late this summer.
