2008 Dodge Dakota
We got to see this truck before the show and you can check it out in “Readers’ Rides” in our upcoming January\February issue. The photos don’t do this truck any justice. The factory amber fire pearl is one out of 145 trucks made from 2000. The body of the truck has the full Cervinis sniper kit, and Nathan Curry did the custom flame and airbrush work at Curry’s customs in Nixa, Missouri. The tailgate has been shaved and a manual removable sunroof added. The tonneau cover is made by snugtop and houses a Proscan 42-inch LCD screen in the bed area with remote activated actuators to raise up and down. The full frame and suspension of this restoration is powder coated in silver vein. The truck is lowered 2 inches in the front and 3 inches in the rear with the use of western chassis lower control arms. The factory 5.9-liter 360 has been built with Mopar performance cam, Mopar performance intake manifold, Harland sharp 1.7 roller rockers, Mopar performance headers with 3-inch Spintech exhaust, Fastman 52mm throttle body matched with a throttle body spacer and custom billet dual ram air cold air intake making the hood scoops functional. It’s finished off chrome and billet Mopar accessories. The wheels are Billet Intro Pentia 6-Series and are staggered with 20x8.5-inchers in front and 22x10-inchers in the rear wrapped with Continental 30-series tires. Cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors finish off the performance look.
