Chevrolet will show off no fewer than six concept trucks and SUVs at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, including a high-performance Silverado and the Black Ops concept originally unveiled at the State Fair of Texas.
Perhaps the most intriguing truck will be the Silverado Cheyenne concept, which could preview a sport truck offering from Chevrolet. As we noted yesterday, the automaker combines a simple regular cab body with a 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 and a number of lightweight components from the Camaro Z/28, including its aluminum wheels and carbon-intensive brake system. A few of the truck's body panels, including the tailgate and bumpers, are also constructed of carbon fiber.
The Brad Paisley Signature Silverado concept was inspired by the country singer and features a premium sound system, custom paint, lowered suspension, Borla exhaust system, as well as leather and suede seats. Chevrolet also turned to Tony Stewart for his personal touches on a Silverado LTZ Z71 that features custom graphics, Dark Tarnished silver paint, 22-inch wheels, and embroidered headrests. The Silverado Volunteer Firefighter and Black Ops concepts both debuted at the State Fair of Texas in September. The Firefighter edition features the Z71 suspension system and is packed with tools, while the Black Ops concept is ready to take on the most extreme emergencies and missions.
Representing the new 2015 Silverado HD is a crew cab Dually tow vehicle concept, which sports custom paint and wheels and is hitched to a trailer loaded with a COPO Camaro and COPO racing engine.
Chevrolet's full-sized SUVs will also occupy a spot at SEMA, starting with the 2015 Suburban Half-Pipe concept, which is loaded with tools and storage solutions for skiers and snowboarder. Meanwhile, the 2015 Tahoe Black concept is sinister-looking thanks to its large 22-inch rims, lowered ride height, blacked-out color scheme. And providing a glimpse at Chevrolet's upcoming SUV for law enforcement personnel is the Tahoe Police concept, which is packed with emergency equipment and a 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8.
