I love finding unplanned auto gatherings when I'm on the road. This past weekend I took a trip to Phoenix Arizona where temperatures start reaching 101 in the middle of the day and the only relief from the heat consists of AC or a quick dip in the pool with SPF45 caked on my skin.
Saturday evening cooled to a nice 89 degrees and I headed out to meet up with other auto enthusiast to hang out for the evening. I was invited to an impromptu auto show where anything goes.
What's known the weekly "Pavilions" meet is a weekly tradition around these parts and has been going on for a few years. Every thing from hot-rods, Hondas, crouch-rockets, off-road trucks and jet-engine powered fire trucks come to show-off and hand out in the parking lots. Patrons cursed the parking lot by what they came in or meandered around by foot.
Editors Note: The "Pavilions" meet is located off the 101 loop off the Indian Bend exit in the Pavilions Shopping Center.
