Although the LeDuc offroad truck racing team had their struggles, the LeDucs came out on top, winning the Rockstar Energy Lucas Oil Off Road Challenge Cup in Phoenix.
In various races, the LeDucs had to start at the back of the pack, working their way to the very front and sort through mechanical issues. In the final race of the short course racing, Todd LeDuc's Ford F-150 had catastrophic engine failure -- on the very first lap.
“Our team was up until one in the morning with our Matika tools in hand changing not only the engine but the transmission, overdrive, and rear ring and pinion as well," Todd said.
The race also represented the only time all three members of the team were on the track together at the same time. After all the action ended, Kyle LeDuc had his third win of the weekend and Todd LeDuc earned fourth place (Curt LeDuc had a blown engine). Kyle win three of his four races, setting the fastest lap time at 99 mph.
