JBM Makes Installing Billet An Art
Have you ever experienced the sheer frustration of having a billet grille installation go horribly and inexplicably wrong? We have. We've mangled more than our fair share of billet grilles while trying to fit them on our mini-trucks. By the time we finished the install, tools were tossed, expletives were thrown around, and we were left feeling inadequate with a grille held in place by zip ties. Either the parts just didn't fit, or we're just complete jackasses when it comes to meshing billet with steel.
On a recent trip to JMB Sport Truck Accessories in Orange, California, we learned it was probably the latter and not the part's fault. JBM takes the hassle out of installing billet accessories by providing the service for you. You can either order your new bumper or grille in pieces, or you can have the billet professionally installed by the company's trained installers. There is a lot more to this install than just slapping on the parts with a few nuts and bolts. If you want the fit and finish to be top-notch, then you have to have the parts assembled correctly. In this story, we're going to watch as the JBM crew updates the front end of a '92 Nissan Harbody to '97 specs with 4WD sheetmetal, a chrome-plated one-piece bumper, clear side marker lights, and billet inserts. The process took about two hours to complete, but when the crew finished, the fenders lined up beautifully with the doors, and the billet was neither bent nor attached with bailing wire. Check it out.
