There's something to be said about the second truck you build. With the first truck come and gone, you've learned an incredible amount and have accumulated a list of friends and shops you trust - and a list of people you'd like a hit man to "take care of." The second time around, you do a lot more of the work on your truck, and that really enables you to call it your own. Even your style and choices have become more fine-tuned, and this shines through. Most importantly, the amount of time the truck is down is significantly reduced due to the amount of experience you have in handling a custom-truck buildup. Having said this, it's still very hard to have a truck completed in seven months.

However hard it was, Curtis, along with the help of countless people he's come to trust, took a basic S-series truck and turned it into the daily driven, spark-throwing, show-winning truck it is in that little amount of time. Bewleys Body Works took on the task of laying the truck flat using 2-inch DJM drop spindles and Air Ride Technologies air springs and shocks up front. The crew opted for a reverse four-link setup with Air Ride Technologies sleeve-style 'bags out back, all pushed by Air Ride Technologies Big Red valves. Now the truck lays out nice, tucking the Epic 17x7-inch chromies wrapped in Kumo 205/40R17 tread.
The body was made fresh by adding a Street Scene bumper cover, a smooth roll pan, a Lexan rear window, and a Checkmate tonneau cover. Bewley Body Works then sprayed the truck PPG Hot Lime Green with blue graphics and hand-brushed pinstriping. Jeremy Marsh got things bumping inside by installing a Pioneer deck and three 12-inch JL Audio subwoofers.

Auto Threads was given the task of turning the interior into not only a comfortable place to cruise but also a bright, eye-catching enclosure to pick up extra show points. The dash and a few key accessories within were sprayed with the PPG Hot Lime Green paint. The headrests were cut from the seatbacks before the seats were reupholstered with gray, green, and blue leather. Highly polished billet dash pieces and a dual-pillar gauge pod finish off the look. After all was said and done, Curtis was rolling his truck to shows - it had been only seven months and he was winning First Place trophies.
