They say that when you're young, you can't possibly understand what true love is. This young love is often referred to as puppy love. Robert Bentley, age 30, is experiencing a different kind of puppy love. His object of affection, besides his wife Becky, is his low and clean '94 Isuzu Spacecab. This love affair has been ongoing for almost two years as Robert, Mike Farmer, David Oloara, J-Dawg, and Bubba worked to get Robert's p'up to the beautiful state it's in now.
Robert's '94 Isuzu received the royal treatment, starting with Mike Farmer from Insane Designs in Ennis, Texas. Mike dropped the frame to the ground using AIM drop spindles up front and a bridge notch and four-link combination out back. He stuffed Firestone 2,600-pound 'bags up front and huge 2,800-pound 'bags in the rear. Mike relocated Toxic drop shocks to all four corners to help smooth out the infamous Cadillac ride that airbags are known for. Once the truck tucked the Boyd Coddington 17x7-inch wheels wrapped in 205/40R17 rubber, it was time to move on to the exterior. Mike Farmer is also the man accredited for smoothing the body of the Isuzu by ditching door handles, body lines, taillights, and all other factory annoyances that disrupt the smooth flow of sheetmetal. Once the p'up was as smooth as pappy's bald head, David Oloara in Fort Worth, Texas, began to spray PPG custom-mixed Blue paint. This gave the truck a smooth blue finish.

After the truck was slammed, smoothed, and painted, it was time for the interior details. J-Dawg and Bubba teamed up with Robert to install the pounding system that consists of Kicker amps, Kicker Solo Baric subs, Infinity and Cerwin Vega mids and highs, and a Clarion head unit that pilots the gear. Once the system was wired up, Gilbert, from Fort Worth, began methodically wrapping each and every piece inside the cab with a combination of light-blue, dark-blue, and gray tweed. Between the truck's original cost, Mike Farmer's bill, the paint, the wheels, the interior, the stereo, the chromed-up engine bay, and the billet steering wheel, Robert managed to rack up almost $26,000. Puppy Love is one clean ride and worth every penny spent. Robert wanted to give special thanks to his wife Becky for all her help and support. He also wanted to thank J-Dawg, who said it'd happen for Robert at Heatwave, and Mike Farmer at Insane Designs.
