M1A1 Iraqi Cruizer
Who:
Tom Corning
Where: Al Khalidiyah, Iraq
What: M1A1 Main Battle Tank
Back in the States, Tom Corning drives a '99 Chevy S-10, but at the moment, he gets to cruise this M1A1 Main Battle Tank around the streets of Al Khalidiyah, Iraq. Tom's tank weighs 70 tons and can reach speeds as fast as 50 mph, thanks to the turbine engine that pushes out a respectable 1,500 hp. To spice things up, the tank received a custom - well, as custom as Uncle Sam allows - desert-tan paintjob and was outfitted with a 120mm firecracker off the front end, just in case our boys need to get busy.

Smooth SST
Who:
Steve Cassibo
Where: Int'l Falls, Minnesota
What: '97 Dodge Ram SST
When Steve bought this Dodge two years ago, it was bone-stock with 90,000 miles on it. Steve started by shaving the antenna, door handles, and tailgate handle. Next, he added billet inserts to the bumper and grille and put painted covers over the headlights. The taillights were molded to the custom-made roll pan, and a custom exhaust was installed right after the 3/5 drop. A set of sport mirrors and a flush-mount tonneau cover were added along with a wiper cowl up front. Steve left the Dodge's base paint alone and added the Electron Blue metallic stripes. Now, two years later, after a lot of hard work, Steve's truck sits lower, looks better, and only has 94,000 miles on it.

Work in Progress
Who:
Shawn McKee
Where: Conroe, Texas
What: '95 Chevy S-10
This black Chevy-in-the-making belongs to Shawn McKee. He's done all the work himself in the comfort of his own front yard. He removed the front springs and replaced them with 'bags up front, and the rear has been hooked up with an Air Ride system. The stock rollers were yanked off and replaced with a set of dubs that tuck nicely. Shawn has more plans for his truck in the future - after all, it is a work in progress - but it looks like it's coming along nicely.
