Editor's Note: Getting your truck into Readers' Rides is a snap-of the camera, that is. All it takes is a couple of good-quality photos of your ride that are in focus and well-lit. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we regret that we cannot return photographs. Please shoot and send photos of your truck only (no people, pets, Polaroids, or printouts) to: Truckin' Magazine, Readers' Rides, 2400 E. Katella Ave., Ste. 700, Anaheim, CA 92806. It is important that you include a detailed description of the modifications you have made to your truck, including any interesting stories behind it. This can include information about the buildup or any special history the truck has.

Homework Chevy
Ryan Hopper of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has put his schooling into his '00 Chevy Silverado. Being a student at OSU Tech and getting his degree in Auto Body and Paint helped Ryan transform his Chevy a little bit more. The truck has a K&N filter charger kit under the hood and a billet grille in the front with a silver Bow Tie. Ryan did the paintjob with the help of his friend Garrett. Ryan plans to add Air Ride suspension, an Escalade front clip, and airbrush graphics.
Up, Up & Away
This '02 Chevy HD 2500 is owned by student Mitch Doukas of Santa Cruz, California. Mitch began modifying his truck by installing a 6-inch lift with 16.5-inch Weld wheels wrapped with Bogger rubber. Mitch tells us that the best part of his truck is the entertainment system. He installed an Alpine DVD changer with a Clarion back-up camera, Alpine amps, and for security, a Clifford alarm. For Mitch, all the time and money he's invested in his truck hasn't changed him one bit; he still considers himself an ordinary student.
Nick Notich of Sykesville, Maryland, is the proud owner of this '02 Chevy S-10 Xtreme. The truck was lowered 2 inches in the front, 3 inches in the rear, and rides on Eagle Alloy wheels. Nick installed a Flowmaster exhaust with a Checkmate bedcover and clear corners. Nick's future modifications include adding a decked-out entertainment system.
Ridin' Low S-10
At the age of 15, Chad Bennett of Slinger, Wisconsin, decided to take up the project of customizing a '92 Chevy S-10. With the help of his father, they began by installing a 5-inch Belltech drop. The bodywork consists of a panned tailgate and shaved door handles with red and white flames. The truck sits on 15-inch American Racing wheels wrapped in Dunlop rubber. After two long years of hard work, Chad's ride turned out to be an exhibition truck.
The Heat
Gene Spangenberg of Luzerne, Pennsylvania, is the proud owner of this '02 Chevy Extreme. Gene begins by telling us that he first began upgrading his truck by changing the paintjob from stock to a whole different look. He then started working on the exterior by installing a Street Scene grille and Street Scene signal mirrors. The tailgate was shaved and a Bow Tie third brake light was added. The interior dashboard was customized with flame gauges and painted blue and orange. Gene's plans include upgrading the seats and adding a supercharger and wheels.
