We're writing this in September, just three weeks after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast. Hurricane Rita is now following in its path and is headed for Texas. By the time you read this, you might think that the storms are old news. But that's not the case. The impact of Hurricane Katrina will be felt by the residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama for years, not to mention those who live in neighboring states and have taken in those displaced by the storm. As for those people whose homes were damaged or destroyed or who were forced to leave so that the affected cities can be rehabilitated, they continue to need support. Want to help? We rounded up some information on organizations that are working to help the Gulf Coast recover. Check them out and donate money, time, or whatever you can.
