When Tyson Suhre of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was a senior in high school, his parents hooked him up with one heck of a present: an '89 Toyota Pickup. The Toy' sports a '95 front end with a chrome bumper and lower valance, Matrix diamond headlights, APC clear bumper signals, and IPCW modified taillights. The suspension has been lowered using 3-inch DJM lower control arms and 3-inch lowered leaf springs; Toxic shocks keep the ride smooth. The stereo is where the heart of this beast lies. Tyson threw in a Pioneer Premier DEH-P930 CD player, with an MTX 4-inch component set in the dash, MTX 5 1/2-inch set in the Q-Logic kick panels, four 12-inch Coustic RD subs, a Coustic 481QE four-channel amp for the mids and highs, and a Coustic 801 DB amp to power the thunder. Plus, all the mods have been done by Tyson, and there's much more in store. New wheels, paint, shave job, custom interior, and airbags are all on the checklist. Now git 'er done!

Ryan Willis of Bradford, Tennessee, has been reading MT since he was 13 years old. That fact alone could provide us enough material to write 'til our hearts' content. Since he sent in pics of his '90 Chevy S-10, though, we will talk about that. Ryan and his dad have been pounding away for three years to get his first mini to its current state. Already it's been lowered with 3-inch dropped coils and 4-inch blocks. The interior has been painted to match the outside of the truck, the factory seating has been replaced with Blazer seats, and a Blazer center console has been added. The tailgate has been shaved and the license plate angled and frenched. Future plans include a full shave, 'bags and a body drop, and some clean 18-inch rollers. Good stuff, Ryan. We know we'll see a lot from you in the future.

We thought we would plug something a hair different in this month's Ridin' Around. This is Chad Sperry from Chad's Body Shop in New Troy, Michigan, and his pimp-status '01 Chevy S-10 Extreme. Chad's S-10 sports a custom three-link suspension with wishbone, Slam Specialties airbags, and an Air Lift digital controller. The body, of course, which is Chad's specialty, is anything but stock. The tailgate has been shaved, a roll pan was added, and a custom notch cover has been fabbed up with bead rolls and Dzus fasteners. Chad would like to thank Cory D. Schiller, Troy Stanson, Billy Dinges, Craig "Chunky" Mosier, and Ken Rochefort. He plans on pimping out the stereo and interior next. If you are in the greater Michigan area, give Chad a call, and he will hook you up.
