Lightnings are formidable trucks, right off the lot, but Anthony Hall from Pennsville, New Jersey, wanted his '02 faster-and we don't blame him. He added a bunch of new power parts to his already supercharged 5.4L, starting with an AIRAID intake system. Once he felt the little boost in power that it gave him, it was all over, and in no time, JBA headers and a Flowmaster set of duals found a place under the truck. Then, he slapped on a set of under-drive pulleys to free up some more power and a retuned computer burn so the truck could use all the new parts to their full potential. A set of 20-inch wheels, Eibach springs, a billet grille, and a soft tonneau cover round out the modifications and help this truck rip the 1320 in 12.8 seconds. Anthony says, "I plan on doing a lot more with the truck, but for now, it's all I can do."

Canyon Carver
Jeremy Lauf transformed his little '02 S-10 into a canyon-carving G-machine over the course of two years. To bring the center of gravity down to a performance level, Jeremy used Belltech's 2-inch springs, and SSBC 2-inch drop spindles for the front. Out back is a set of Belltech 3-inch de-arched leaves and AIM's 3-inch blocks. Just lowering it is not enough to chase anything down in the twisties, so bigger sway bars (1.25 front and 0.875 rear), Doetsch shocks, polyurethane bushings, some frame braces, and an anti-hop shock scabbed from a ZQ8 truck round out the suspension. Now to get it to stick and stop, 18-inch Boyd Coddington Timeless wheels, wrapped in BFG g-Force rubber, give plenty of traction for the four-wheel SSBC disc brakes to slow the truck down in a hurry. Keeping Jeremy safely stuck behind the wheel is a set of Recaro buckets and five-point harnesses. The truck was also given a full one-color paintjob that is accented by some old-school emblems and parts from Street Scene to make it look as nice as it handles. Jeremy says, "Now, I'm longing to begin the final stage of the build, a stroked/supercharged LS1 backed by a six-speed tranny will definitely find their way in." We can't wait to see that, so hurry up.

Killer Bee
John Bowman, a recently retired First Sergeant, returned from a tour of duty in Iraq, just in time to purchase this Rumble Bee Ram. Typical military man that he is, there was no time to just leave it stock. John ripped into it faster than crap goes through a goose. His first stop was the dealer, where John picked up a Viper-style hood gauge pod and a tonneau cover. Underhood, the Hemi was fitted with a K&N FIPK, a PowerAid throttle-body spacer, and JBA Headers, and he finished off with a Gibson after-cat exhaust system. Military trucks are rugged but not very comfortable, so John installed a Katzkin leather kit in the interior and a Bedrug in the bed, to make every area of his truck nice to sit on. If you happen to see John driving around Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, give him a little thumbs-up for his truck and say thanks to a man who spent his life keeping all of us safe. Sick Dakota
Evan Rzeppa of Woodhaven, Michigan, started customizing this '99 Dakota after he had a little fender bender. Instead of buying stock parts with the insurance money, he dropped the coin on aftermarket parts. A Cervini's hood, Stillen grille shell with billet inserts, and a set of clear corners were added to the list of custom bodywork. All of the bodywork was done by Evan, and he is pretty proud of how it all came out. He shaved the handles, taillights, gas door, antenna, third brake light, emblems, and the two body lines on the gate; he even built a custom roll pan with LED taillights to boot. Now, all that custom work would look pretty bad, if the truck was stock height, so he installed a 3/5 drop and 20-inch Lorenzo rims with 255-45 Toyo Proxes. Inside, you will find a full tweed interior with 7-inch LCD screen, Pyle DVD player, and a custom center console fitted with a Kenwood head unit and a Kicker subwoofer.

Vacation or Holliday,You Decide
Rob Holliday uses his truck as a way to get away, and what a nice getaway it is. His '99 Chevy has not only been babied (28K OG miles), but it has received enough custom touches to possibly win a feature. Rob is a subscriber, so he didn't get to send a picture of his truck with a Sport Truck sticker and enter it in the "sticker contest," but we are going to put him in with the other competitors. There is just too much stuff to list here, but companies such as AIM, Cervini's, Driv Wheels, Flowmaster, Godfather's, JBL, Pioneer, Rockford-Fosgate Punch, and SnugTop all have parts on this truck. The red body is accented by a billet grille roll pan and a complete shave job. Flames and 'bags are the last plans Rob has to accomplish, so he can return from his vacation.

Nice Driver
Andy Deldin of Queensbury, New York, is the proud owner of this '01 Ranger XLT. The exterior features a set of Lund hoodscoops, Outlaw II wheels by American Racing, and an access roll-up tonneau cover. Most of the goodies on this truck can be found under the hood strapped to the 4.0L V-6. Andy installed a Brag intake tube, Helix Power Tower Plus Throttle Body Spacer, JBA headers, Gibson Performance dual pipes, Denso plugs, and a drink of Royal Purple oil. The truck is a daily driver and spends some time even doing some work, but let's hope Andy retires the truck for work duties when he finishes all the custom stuff.
