2005 Nissan Titan - Titanic Power

Nissan's Big Boy Gets Blown

America's most powerful base V-8 engine is securely mounted in Nissan's fullsize Titan pickup. At 305 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque, the 5.6L is no slouch, especially when the long, skinny pedal is mashed to the floor and all those horses are unleashed. Bolt-on aftermarket performance parts can exponentially add incredible horsepower to this potent powerplant; however, nothing adds more power than a supercharger. After 13 months of extensive research and development, Stillen released its own supercharger unit, complete with electronics that add serious cajones to the Titan.
Based on the Eaton-style twin-rotor system, the Stillen supercharger replaces the entire intake manifold and includes an additional eight injectors just for the blower. An intercooler mounted inside the casing adds even more power to the unit. It comes equipped with Stillen electronics, a new mounting plate, a serpentine belt, a coolant pump for the cooler, a high-volume fuel pump, and every nut and bolt required for the installation.
We arrived at Stillen with a 2005 Nissan Titan donor truck, strapped it on the dyno, and the stock truck promptly layed down 276 hp and 334 lb-ft of torque. After watching the install with cameras firing, the Stillen supercharger-equipped Titan wowed all of us as the dyno quickly ran up to 390 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque, a huge 114hp improvement. Retailing at $5,995, the Stillen kit is an all-inclusive, out-of-the-box power adder. Available with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty, the supercharger is guaranteed to make power safely. Read on as we show you an abbreviated version of the install. As always, this story is an illustrated version of the installation, and Stillen's instructions should be used and followed to properly install the supercharger.
