This truck was built in an amazingly short 20 days, and had 24-hour shifts as the norm to make it ready for last year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. What made the ordeal even more difficult, Jeremy Harsh, the '01 Chevy 2500HD owner, lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. Being some 1,941 miles away, created a super-rush job. Arriving just two hours before the show opened its doors, the truck made it and represented American Racing at the aftermarket gala.

Delivering the HD to the only shop in Cincinnati that could complete such a huge task, Spade Kreations took temporary custody of Jeremy's baby. Owner Rick Spade is no stranger to rush jobs, since his custom cars and trucks are at SEMA every year; however, this time there was a guarantee that the truck would be finished.
Starting with the suspension, the crew at Spade Kreations tore off the stock pieces to the bare frame and had everything painted. A 10-inch Full Throttle Suspension lift was bolted on, including a huge, drop-down bracket up front and large leaf springs out back. Dual front and single rear King Off-Road shocks were bolted on to the FTS shock hoops and provided superior comfort and utility for the heavy Chevy. Filling the newly created wheel gap were 40x15.50R22 Toyo Open Country M/T tires, which were mounted on to awesome 22x11-inch Teflon-coated American Racing ATX-series Trax 8 wheels.
Photo 7/13   |   Are you wondering where the back seats went? In order to fit the 20-cubic-foot sub box in the truck, the seats had to be removed. This is probably best, as anyone sitting in the truck needs a life-insurance policy after being exposed to two 18s.
Powering this beast is a 6.0L V-8, equipped with an AEM Brute Force intake, Superchips programmer, and a MagnaFlow 4-inch after-cat exhaust. Spade Kreations performed all of the requisite performance mods and brought the power to a tug-of-war winning level. The talented crew at Spade Kreations bolted on a set of Bushwacker fender flares, a cowl hood, shaved the door handles, and also massaged each body panel to ready them for paint prep. Rolled into the Spade booth, DuPont Candy Apple Red and Gunmetal Gray were applied with a wave-like pattern with real gold leaf stamped into place by Josh Shaw of Cincinnati. With the paint dry, a set of menacing Road Armor front and rear bumpers were installed, along with Truck EFX billet grille, headlights, and LED taillights. Now the truck looked killer, but it needed some attention paid to the interior.
Popping the doors revealed an interior that you could hear before unleashing the pressure chamber. An Alpine head unit controls four Kicker amps (two KX2,500.1 and two SX900.4) totaling an astonishing 6,800 watts of power that push Kicker mids and highs. For bass, the Spade crew added Kicker's best subs. Removing the back seats, Jeremy then built a 20-cubic-foot sub enclosure that houses two 18-inch Kicker Solo-Baric subwoofers. To say the truck pounds is a major understatement. The huge box was wrapped in black suede to match the black and red leather/suede combination seats, black carpet, and black-dyed dash. Of course, Spade Kreations handled all of the interior work as well.
It took less time than most paintjobs to build an entire truck that can truly be called a road warrior. If you see this rig cruising around Cinci, you may want to get out of the way or Jeremy might have to clear a path.
