2006 Ford F-250 - Nice Catch!
You Can Really Haul Bass With This Combo
When a man enjoys trucks as much as boating, what is he to do? The easy answer is to have a truck and boat that are both equally enjoyable. But, what happens if you just happen to own a cool cruising Ford F-250 that turns heads wherever you drive it? The only answer, in a real man's world, is to have that boat match the truck. That way, whether you are on land or sea, you are looking good.
Beginning with the '06 Ford F-250, the truck was set on the lift at California Custom Sport Trucks in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to add some attitude. Under the truck is a Fabtech 6-inch suspension lift, that is sporting dual shocks at all four corners. Fabtech's included shock boots were removed and swapped for a set of yellow, color-matching items. Thirty-seven-inch Pro Comp Extreme A/T tires encase 20x10-inch Gear 712 wheels and fit perfectly under the big Super Duty's lift. Axles at both ends were fitted with PML cast differential covers that received a little shot of custom paint for a more show-like appearance. A 6.0L turbodiesel V-8 rumbles under the hood to the tune of a Bully Dog Triple Dog downloader. Opening up the nasal passages is an Advanced Flow Engine (aFe) cold-air intake and a MagnaFlow stainless after-cat exhaust system. A Fluidamper harmonic balancer softens the big diesel's firing oscillations.
Although the '06 F-250 is a handsome truck on its own, a few added details on the exterior couldn't hurt to liven things up a bit. Ravenwood Auto Body installed a set of burly Bushwhacker fender flares that required that the wheelwells be cut to make room for them, with the bonus of adding more space for the 37-inch tires. To break up the massive amount of yellow, Magic Creative Media handled the Z-design graphics zipping down each side of the Super Duty, making their way around the chrome Putco door handles. Speaking of chrome, the sparkling metal covers the mirrors, tow hooks, access step bars, and even the diamond plate toolbox in the bed. To make things that go bump in the night flee in terror, a pair of PIAA 410 foglights illuminate those wee-hour drives to the river. Also, to make backing down a dark launch ramp easier, a Recon White Lightning line of LED lights shine in reverse from between the bumper and the tailgate. The outside of the Blue Oval received its share of attention and the interior was given just a touch of class, as well. Nobody will argue that leather is nice all by itself, but the black suede inserts in the seats and the front and rear door panels were definitely necessary. Wood adorns the dash adding a soft surround to the hard digital vision of the Kenwood DDX6019 head unit. Sound emanates from all around through plenty of JL Audio gear. Of course, California Custom Sport Trucks completed it all.
