Low Ridin'
This truck has been in Erik Hui's family since '89 and was originally a work truck for his family's Chinese restaurant. This is the truck he used to learn how to drive, earned his driver's license in, and has been slowly working on since '94. It doesn't have big wheels and a body-drop, but to Erik it's still a minitruck at heart. Being from Las Cruces, New Mexico, the style of this Hardbody isn't unusual. Rolling on 100-spoke Roadstar Wire Wheels with P155/80R13 Kumho white walls and a full Red's hydraulic setup, 48-volt Street Charger, and AIM Industries 3-inch lowered leaf springs. To add some unique styling, a Nissan Frontier tailgate with a shaved handle, custom spare tire mount, medium blue Phantom top with Cadillac courtesy lights, and a Line-X bed liner were added. The Grant chain steering wheel, '88 Nissan Pathfinder instrument cluster, Jensen 7-inch CD/DVD monitor, and car audio from Kenwood and Kicker complete the interior mods. Not bad, Erik. Keep on rollin' low.

Cold Front
This '00 Nissan Frontier is well on its way to pimp status. Shane Luenz lives in Lakeside, Arizona, and cruises this Frontier every single day. Rolling on 18-inch American Racing Cartel wheels with a lowered stance makes this Frontier a major looker. With shaved doors, fuel door, and tailgate the exterior body is as smooth as they come. Moving inside, four 12-inch Memphis M1 subs fire from a glassed and wrapped box, and wake up the neighbors on a daily basis. With a few custom-painted interior pieces to help with contrast, this ride is moving along nicely. A custom intake and exhaust system help with the annoy-the-neighbors duties, and Shane is also currently searching for a full Phantom grille to complete the look he's after.

Picture Perfect
Roger Miller from Fair Grove, Missouri, cruises this '88 Mazda B2200 that is 'bagged front and back with Firestone 'bags, GC valves, Viair 460 compressor and a 5-gallon tank, along with nitrogen hookups to shake off the haters. The body has a shaved fuel door, shaved emblem holes, and shaved mirrors. The interior is the stock bench seat covered in black vinyl with red piping, custom-made door panels with tribal design billet armrests, and window cranks. The audio consists of a custom sub box with two 10-inch JL audio W3s and a Memphis 500D amp. The wheels are old-skool 15-inch Nissan Pathfinders. Roger had some 17-inch Caddy wheels, but wanted to stay with the old-skool mini feel on this one.

Josh Waszkurak from Drive Jackson, Missouri, rolls around town in his '98 GMC Jimmy 4x4. Even though it's a 4x4, Josh knew he wanted a low-slung clean look, so he went with a 3/4 drop and added '02 Camaro SS chrome wheels, which are wrapped in fierce 255/45R17. Sport mirrors, vent visors, and a '99 Envoy rear spoiler with LED clean up the exterior and are all painted to match. A T-Rex billet grille, custom lower grilles and '03 Mustang GT hoodscoop with custom grille make for a mean front-end. Josh also added clear headlights and taillights with LEDs. Inside, a chrome gauge cluster and chrome A/C knobs polish things out nicely. The 4.3L breathes through an Airaid intake and Helix throttle-body spacer, while the fumes exit through a Flowmaster Delta 50 series connected to a MagnaFlow dual-oval tip. The timing and fuel mixture is reprogrammed, thanks to the Jet stage 2 module and Jet 180 thermostat. Look for more on this clean driver as Josh continues to tweak on it.
Editor's Note: Getting your truck into Ridin' Around is a snap-of the camera, that is. All it takes is a couple of good-quality photos of your ride that are in focus and well lit. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we regret that we cannot return photographs. Please shoot and send photos of your truck only (no people, pets, Polaroids, or printouts) to: Mini Truckin' magazine, Ridin' Around, 2400 E. Katella Ave., Ste. 700, Anaheim, CA 92806. It is important that you include a detailed description of the modifications you have made to your truck, including any interesting stories behind it. This can include information about the buildup or any special history on the truck.
