I mean, we can't have you guys (and girls) out there reading your favorite magazine without knowing a little something about the staff that brings this whole mess together once a month. Enjoy.

Q: What is it like to work for Sport Truck magazine?
A: It's a whirlwind party-like-a-rock-star cross-country jaunt, a frenzied finger-killing typing session, a mind-numbing eyeball-squinting eight-hour photo-selection process, and a helluva lot of fun. And then there's the other 51 weeks of the year, when I'm stuck at my desk, writing and editing copy. Thank God my office has a window.

Q: What did you do for a living before working at Sport Truck?
A:With the exception of writing for various magazines, I haven't had too many jobs for long periods of time. But, during college, I went on a spree where I took jobs just to score the staff shirt. I was a cable guy, the cashier at a quickie-lube joint, and a radio tower maintenance guy, for just three days each. I looked damn good in my cable-guy shirt, too. Oh yeah, I installed car stereos for a few years, as well.

Q: What is your dream truck?
A:I want the ultimate sleeper truck. I'd love to have a truck with a show-quality paintjob and clad in stock trim, so the truck looks custom but not so much that you'd think it was all that special. The paint would also be super-durable and never get rock chips, so that I could drive it every day. Did I mention that my dream truck will also handle like a fine sports car? I want to rip through corners at 80 mph with no regard for guard rails. That's not really possible due to physics and finances, but it's my dream and I'll dream it however I like. My dream truck would also have at least 500 hp and still get 20 miles per gallon, and I could tow my boat with it because it will have a trailer hitch hidden behind the stock rear bumper. I guess, I'm really looking for a Z06 Corvette chassis and drivetrain with a '73-'87 Chevy C10 truck body on it. Anyone wanna build it?
Q: What are you building right now?
A: My '67 Chevy C10, which I'm financially in way over my head with. I plan to run out of cash long before it ever sees a paint booth, which I'm fine with. As long as I get to drive the hell out of it, I don't care if it ever sees the business end of a spray gun.
Q: How do you spend your free time?
A: I've discovered that when I don't have a toy to play with I'm no fun to be around. So, I'm constantly tweaking on either my truck or my drag boat when I'm not hanging out with my wife. Thankfully, she puts up with my mania and shares my love of beer, sunshine, and the outdoors, so we get along just fine, even though I spend more time at work and the shop than I do at home.
