Shane Short loves to turn heads as he cruises his '03 GMC Sonoma around the streets of Litchfield, Illinois. This daily-driven beauty is equipped with a gleaming set of 20-inch Davin Street Spins SS3 wheels, wrapped in Kuhmo rubber, and a custom 4/5 drop, which was performed by Shane himself. The stock, black paint has been treated to an intense wet-sand and buffing session, which encompassed more than 25 hours of labor! Although Shane has done a great job with his Sonoma's appearance, it is clear that music is his true passion. Two 12-inch Kicker L7 subs, a Crossfire VR1000D amp, and an Eclipse CD7000 head unit unite to blast 144.5 decibels of pure, head-banging audio indulgence. Shane has also insulated the roof and back wall of the cab with two layers of Dynamat. It is no wonder that future plans for this rolling boom-box include a custom license plate that will read "THUMPIN." Shane said, "it is cool to rock a hill-billy ride" where he is from. The only consolation we at Mini Truckin' can give Shane is our official, world-famous "cool" approval!

Army of One
21-year-old Jordan Lee Fox recently purchased this '07 Chevrolet Colorado LT ZQ8. He bought his truck back in December of 2006 and has been mildly modding it ever since. Since the purchase of Jordan's truck, he's joined Outkasted Creationz in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and plans to represent with a list of future mods including: fully shaved- Leds in rear, Air Ride on 20-inch chrome wheels, a two-tone cherry red and metallic gray with black tribal paint, a fully fiberglass interior, and it's turbocharged. With his enlistment bonus, Jordan will be well on his way to one sweet Rado. He's currently a PFC in the United States Army, serving with the 18th Airborne Corps out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Jordan's job in the military is 25Mike, which is a multimedia illustrator, also known as a graphic artist in the civilian world. Thanks for fighting for us, Jordan, and keep us posted on your ride.

Family Affair
R.E., as he's called by friends and family, hails from Sparta, Tennessee. Not only is he the proud owner of this super-clean '95 Chevy S-10, rolling on a set of 18x8-inch MKW MK9s wrapped in Falken 225/40 series rubber, but R.E.'s Dime is setup with full air suspension using Slam specialties 'bags and a monster notch in the rear, too. Body mods include a molded roll pan, a frenched Cadillac taillights, frenched license plate, shaved tailgate handle, shaved door handles, a frenched antenna, a cowl hood, teal base paint, with custom candy flames, and tons of color. The interior has custom gray and teal tweed seats, door panels, and numerous billet parts. The stereo sports a Jensen head unit with 7-inch flip-down screen, two 12-inch JL audio W3 woofers, and JL and MA audio separates, all of which are powered by Orion and Xtant amps to total 1,400 watts. R.E.'s wife, Leslie Bickford, is the one to thank for following through and standing by him. Also, thanks go out to Eric "The Shocker" Mendenhal of Fat Boy Customs and Terry Cummings of Cummings Rod & Custom, who have both helped get this Dime rolling hard.

Waxed Ya
Chris Hunter at the ripe-old-age of 21 is already living large. In Ohio, Chris has made a big impact with his Dakota that he's been working hard on for more than three years. So far, the truck has been fully shaved, new cowl hood, sniper body kit, FBI custom tailgate skin, custom paintjob, 20/22 inch rims, a 2/3 drop, a tonneau cover, a bed rug, painted interior, Corbeau racing seats, Pioneer in-dash DVD player with component speakers, and two MTX 10s. Man, that was a keyboard full of accessories! As for the motor, it's a 4.7 with a high-output cam and intake swap, cold air, performance computer, headers, under-drive pulleys, injectors, and AC throttle body, but his future plans are to pull the motor soon to have it painted, bored, and supercharged. Chris has poured his heart and soul into his ride and it shows. Keep up the good work, Chris, we'll see you out on the battlefield.
Editor's Note: Getting your truck into Ridin' Around is a snap-of the camera, that is. All it takes is a couple of good-quality photos of your ride that are in focus and well lit. Due to the volume of mail we receive, we regret that we cannot return photographs. Please shoot and send photos of your truck only (no people, pets, Polaroids, or printouts) to: Mini Truckin' magazine, Ridin' Around, 2400 E. Katella Ave., Ste. 700, Anaheim, CA 92806. It is important that you include a detailed description of the modifications you have made to your truck, including any interesting stories behind it. This can include information about the buildup or any special history on the truck.
