Every year, Godfather Customs builds a fresh batch of custom vehicles to showcase what the aftermarket has to offer. Pulling talent from all across Georgia, the show vehicles give guys like us the inspiration to build our own trucks. So, without further ado, here's how Godfather Customs transformed its '06 F-150 SuperCrew into a custom daily driver.
Starting with the right stance, the Ford's control arms were replaced with DJM 2-inch dropped control arms, while the rear axle was flipped over the rear leaf springs to drop it 4 inches. Toxic Shocks and 24x10-inch Gianelle Spezia wheels with matching 315/35R24 Continental Gianelle edition tires finished off the dropped stance, while adding a little color to the body's tall silver sides. Take a peek between the painted blue spokes and you'll notice Baer Eradispeed brakes, a welcome addition to any truck when adding some weight with larger wheels.

Moving on to the body, a Sir Michael's roll pan, Gaylord's X2000 tonneau, and Street Scene bumper cover took over where the factory left off, and cleaned up the nose and tail of the F-150, before T-Rex stainless grilles filled both upper and lower grille openings. Street Scene signal mirrors were also chosen to give the truck a more sleek silhouette. Brian Norman and the crew from Brian's Paint and Body in Stone Mountain, Georgia, worked extra hours to make sure that the Sir Michaels roll pan and all of the Street Scene gear matched the truck's factory silver. Shawn Rogers from DefenderWorx is responsible for the one-off billet door handles, gas door, tailgate handle, and fender vents. Each piece was custom made for the Ford to give it just a little bit more of a custom touch.
Once the truck was looking smooth, it was time to add a little attitude to the mix. A Reflexxion cowl-induction hood was sprayed to match before it was bolted on. Speaking of the hood, it covers a 5.4L V-8 with an Injen intake, a Corsa exhaust, and a Superchips FlashPaq to take even more advantage of its increased breathing capability. Now, the truck has a boost in power and the sound to match. The final addition to the exterior was the flames, which were applied by Mike Lewis from Gary's Body Shop in Decatur, Georgia. The flames were sprayed in Kandy Kobalt and Oriental Blue over True Blue pearl, and radiate from all four wheels of the truck.
The interiors of F-150s are comfortable and good-looking, but they really shine with a few upgrades. Starting in the driver seat, a US Speedo stainless steel gauge overlay and BAD billet steering wheel bring the metallic exterior inside, as do Ryno Manufacturing billet pedals. Ted Wiggens, owner of Gibbs Auto Interiors & Accessories in Stockbridge, Georgia, tackled the upholstery, as the factory seats shed their covers and headrests to accept two-tone leather. The rear bench was replaced with front buckets to make room for the full-length center console, built by Josh and Daniel Woodley at Godfather Customs and painted by Brian's Paint and Body.
The console houses two 12-inch Kenwood Excelon subs and amps in the rear and the front has a tray and plug for an iPod. A Kenwood 6019 double-DIN head unit provides audio and video through two LZ-702W touch-screen monitors, with the passenger side getting video, and the center getting navigation. The rear passengers can view DVD video on the LZH-100W 10.2-inch drop-down monitor mounted in the center of the roof. All of those audio components are supplied power by an Optima YellowTop via Stinger wires.
