S'cool Truck
Bill Collin's '85 Chevy C10

Mattapoisett, Massachusetts
We Say: Talk about modern-day slave labor, Bill instructed his high-school Collision Repair students to customize his truck as an assignment. All joking aside, they did one hell of a job customizing, bodyworking, and painting this Chevy. We wish we were so fortunate as to learn some automotive customizing techniques during our time in high school like these kids did. Way to go guys. Nice job.

What They Win: To help Bill teach his students the fundamentals of welding, we're sending him these welding handbooks along with a few calculators we got from Miller. So next time his pupils are shaving a vehicle by welding filler pieces of sheetmetal, they'll have some good reference materials.
We also thought it would be a good idea to send Bill a couple of knickknacks for his classroom desk. These include a cool bobblehead from Airaid and a mean-looking dog's-head figurine that he can use to intimidate his students.
Win a havoc dvd and get free sport truck stickers!
So just how do you win a HAVOC DVD and get some cool Sport Truck stickers for your ride? It's easy. It all starts with you taking a killer photo of your truck and sending that along with all of your information as well as a list of mods done to your truck. High-resolution digital photos are preferred and may improve your chances of winning. But really what it comes down to is if your truck is cool enough to pass our standards (OK, more like if we happen to get a bull's-eye on the dartboard!). So get going! Get out there with your digital cameras, put the settings on high-quality, and start shootin'. E-mail all of your stuff to, or send a CD with images via snail mail to: Sport Truck Magazine, Homegrown Haulers, 2400 East Katella Ave., Ste. 700, Anaheim, CA 92806.

Rare Breed
Frank Dickerson's '88 Ford F-150

Pottsville, Arkansas
We Say: It's not every day that we come across a custom Ford of this body style. It's probably because most truck guys have Chevys that there is not an abundance of parts for Fords. However, it's good to see that there are people like Frank who aren't afraid of doing something different.

Houston Hemi
Paul felker's '05 dodge ram 1500

Houston, texas
We Say: Even though Paul didn't give us any dyno numbers on this supercharged Hemi, we bet he has no problem leaving stoplight racers in the dust.

From Sport Compact to Sport Truck
John Dudley's '04 Chevrolet Colorado ZQD W/T

Rayland, Ohio
Photo 14/18   |   custom Trucks 2004 Chevy Colorado
We Say: John may have started playing around with sport compact cars, but eventually he was lured into the sport truck world. Seeing as how newer trucks like this Colorado are able to carry many people, haul loads, and still be sporty, it's a no-brainer to conclude that trucks are better than cars.

Looking Good in a Two-Tone
Tyler Kiefer's '01 Chevrolet S-10

St. Louis, Missouri
We Say: Tyler's S-10 is a perfect example of how a simple two-tone paintjob can make a truck look clean while still giving it a custom appearance. Adding the silver made for a nice break in the two main colors.

Honestly, My Friend Made Me Do It
Tim Iltis's '07 Chevrolet Avalanche 4x4

Paris, Texas
Photo 18/18   |   custom Trucks 2007 Chevy Avalanche
We Say: Although the "peer pressure" excuse won't work for kids trying to get out of trouble, it certainly helped Tim get his truck in our magazine. From what he told us, the only reason he submitted this photo and info on his truck is because his friend hounded him about doing so. See, Tim, he was right. You have a cool truck.
