Every now and then a new body-style truck comes along and some brave minitrucker decides to drive it off the showroom floor only to tear it into a million pieces.
Well, when Chevy first introduced the new Colorado mid-size pickup, Keith Steen from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, was instantly hooked. He had to have one and be the first to lay it flat to the floor.
Unfortunately for Keith, things didn't go exactly as planned. With only eight miles on the odometer, Keith dropped his 2004 Colorado off at a shop with high hopes of seeing his brand-new baby on the ground in no time. After awhile Keith was out of cash flow and there was very little progress made on his ride. Eventually, he was fed up and pulled the truck from the shop, but sadly it was still in so many pieces that you couldn't even tell it was a truck. So, with his pockets drained and still having to make payments on a truck that was sitting in a million pieces, Keith had to slowly save up and re-plan his attack at turning his Colorado into something worthy of his Severed Ties logo.

Keith has been around minitrucks since he was 16, and after going through a few projects he finally joined the club he had always strived to be a part of. And rather than trusting another outsider with his new ride, he decided this time around, it was best to call upon his close friends and fellow club members. After two years of waiting and saving it was finally time to get back down to business. Keith enlisted the help of Jim Seat, Big Body, Gooch, Catfish, Brian "Lost Cause" Walker, Chris, and other fellow club members to help turn his luck around. This all-star crew had the Showroom Rado flat on the ground and sporting a clean smooth body in no time.
However, Keith decided that after waiting four years for this build to come to fruition they would now take it all the way. Having an amazing interior guy in your club chapter is always a plus. Big Body Custom Interiors transformed the plain stock interior into a luxurious yet custom interior that any truck would be proud to wear. In the meantime, Gooch, Jim Seat, and Lost Cause Brian got busy with the paint duties. A nice clean burgundy was sprayed and then Lost Cause laid down some wicked chrome airbrushing for a final touch of custom class.

The Showroom Rado was finally complete and worthy to return to the showroom floor right here in your favorite mag. Keith learned many lessons along the way, and after four long years of hard work and making payments on a truck that he was only able to drive for one week, he is now able to cruise something him and his fellow Severed boys can be proud of. Keith would like to give a very special thanks to everyone who helped out in any way as he couldn't have done it without the support of such good friends and family. We hear Keith already has another project in the works, so stay tuned to see what this crazy Tennessee crew comes up with next.
