Editor's Note:
By the time you're reading this, Dan will have fought in UFC 100, in Las Vegas. Going up against Michael "The Count" Bisping, we wish him the best and hopefully he's bringing a smile to all those members of the U.S. military with a recent victory.

There's one reason and one reason only why we are featuring this rough, red '08 Chevy Silverado HD-because MMA scrapper Dan 'Hendo' Henderson told us to. There's something to be said about journalistic integrity, but when being pressured by a guy who could rip your arm out of socket and beat you down with it, it's a bit difficult to say no to him. All kidding aside, Dan is one of the nicest, most laid-back person we've had the pleasure of meeting, and his truck is nothing less than one would expect a professional mixed martial arts fighter to be rolling around in. It's big, it's bad, and it's ready to take down any obstacle in its path. How does all that sound Hendo? Are we off the hook yet buddy?
RBP and Industrial Motoring in Anaheim, California, joined forces to help create a rig that was a reflection of Dan's persona and the first order of business was to jack the Silverado high into the sky. Industrial Motoring bolted on a Bulletproof Suspension 8-inch lift kit complete with Fox Racing 2.0 shocks. To complete the suspension upgrade, a set of 20x10-inch RBP 94R chrome rollers with black spoke inserts were sunk into 37x13.50R20 Toyo Open Country M/T skins for an off-road combo that drips with performance and stylish swagger. To better complement the hauler's stocky fighting stance, an RBP RL Series chrome mesh grille, color-matched front and rear bumpers, as well as lightly-smoked taillights set off the HD's rugged metal terrain nicely. The truck's intimidating posture and devilish facade are enough to telegraph to anyone that it's presence should not be taken likely, but a truck that is to be driven by a full contact brawler must have the muscle to back up its take-no-BS demeanor.
Roland Trudell, RBP's commander in chief, is a good pal of Dan's and he made sure that the Chevy's 6.6L V-8 Duramax engine, which is already a beast to begin with, had more than enough knockout power. Industrial Motoring was called upon again to bolt on an air intake and RBP 4-inch after-cat exhaust system onto the Silverado in order to increase its stamina and overall efficiency. Sometimes sheer, brute power isn't enough, so an RBP power programmer was also hooked up to properly channel the truck's newfound horsepower aggression. With these key performance modifications made, it's safe to say that Dan's machine operates like a true champ.
Dan and his killer HD make for one hell of a one-two combination. In fact, good ol' Fido might just have to give up his 'man's best friend' title. Dan and Roland both began the build wanting to create a truck that encapsulated the style and attitude of the UFC, and with a single glance, anyone can clearly see that they have achieved a unanimous victory.
Since the only occasions that we've really seen Dan Henderson is while he is on television throwing blows with some of the toughest men on the planet; so it was interesting to learn that he is as crazy about all things truck related just as we are. It's not everyday that we get to hang out with and photograph a two-time U.S. Olympian and internationally recognized MMA fighter's most prized automotive possession, and we definitely hope it's not the last time.
