1991 Nissan Hardbody - Construction Zone Special - April 2010

Dualled Up

Every year we put out one very special issue that gives a chance to all of the baddest under construction trucks out there to step into the spotlight for their 15 seconds of fame.
Each year it gets more and more difficult to pick which killer in-progress trucks should make it into this issue, much less, which one should have the honor of the cover. This year many of the trucks featured deserved to make it on the cover, but the duo of the killer Little Shop Rangers took the cake. Some of these trucks are simple and clean, some are artful, and some are downright works of art. Hopefully seeing all of these killer, not-quite-finished rides, will inspire some of you to head out to the garage and give your own current project the final tweaks that it needs to see these very same pages. So without further ado, here's some killer minis that deserve a second or even third take.

Special Thanks:
I would like to thank my wife April for keeping me motivated on the project, even after our bodyshop burnt down with the truck inside, and having to start over. Also to long-time friend Mike Cotten of Midwest Images for keeping me on the truck, and Victor my wife's stepdad for helping me throw the truck back together in four days before the RA show. Karl for hauling it to Millington, Tennessee, and also to the guys at my shop when I started the project.

Future Plans:
Custom dash and interior for the truck with custom baby seat, since we will be proud parents to a little minitrucker next year. Inside of truck bed will also be custom, you will have to see it when it's completed.
Project Completion Date:
Next year we will debut it at the RA show.
