We asked the users of www.dieselbombers.com to submit their trucks for a special Readers' Rides section and were hoping we could get as many as 50 entries. The DB crew went nuts and jammed our email with nearly 150 trucks! We increased the pages originally allotted to the story and narrowed the field down to the best 70 trucks. In case you were wondering, BOMB stands for "Better Off Modified Baby." This was a fantastic experience and we really enjoyed the enthusiasm of the Diesel Bombers. Enjoy.

All in all, I will never sell my truck!

I'm a mechanical designer/manufacturing engineer with a solar panel manufacturer in Northern California and love to scuba dive, drag race our Top Alcohol dragster in NHRA events, and always look forward to summer.

About The Truck: I am from El Paso, Texas, but I'm stationed up in NYC (going on three years) with the U.S. Coast Guard. I bought my truck a couple of years back and can't stop adding BOMBS whenever I get the chance—even though I have to negotiate with the wife on occasion (haha). About The Truck: This is the third Cummins Ram I've owned and I am still amazed by the power that can be had outta these trucks! It's my daily driver and weekend warrior. About The Truck: I bought my truck (stock) a few years ago when I was stationed in 29 Palms, California. I didn't do much to it then, but once I got stationed in Indiana, I fell in love with diesel performance and haven't stopped modifying it since I got here. It's my daily driver and work truck—it does pretty much whatever I need or want. Last time I dyno'd the truck, it made 332 hp and 749 lb-ft of torque, but that was with RV275s and the stock turbo. Hopefully, it will make 450 to 500 hp and 900 to 1,000 lb-ft next time I get to the dyno.

About The Truck: I am the owner of Diesel Performance Plus LLC, and I have been wanting to build a parallel turbo setup for several years. I saw this truck sitting in a field one day and stopped and bought it. It was an old, beat-up farm truck, and I decided it was a good candidate for the first twin parallel turbo 7.3L Power Stroke pulling truck. It is still a work in progress, but we did get to pull it six times last year. We have lots more plans to refine the looks—both under the hood and outside.

About The Truck: I am 22 years old, and I have had this truck for the last four years. It started life as a 6.5L turbodiesel, which ran great until I tried to get too much power out of it and it turned into a nine-cylinder. I didn't want to put another 6.5L into it, and I loved the Cummins engine, so the solution was simple: swap one into it. I was able to source a whole truck for parts—a '94 Dodge 2500 auto—and then the fun began. I am a welder, so I fabbed everything needed, and if you are looking to do this yourself, you do NOT need a body lift to fit a Cummins! It sure was a labor of love and definitely worth it in the end. Due to the poor economy, I lost my job and had to sell the truck. Luckily, my brother bought it and it's able to stay in the family!

About The Truck: I'm 25 years old, and I currently drive the truck locally in the summer delivering Redimix concrete. I also do semi-professional auto detailing on the side. I love the out-doors, whether it's waterfowl hunting in the fall or deer hunting in the dead of winter, you'll find me enjoying myself outside. I'm also an avid fisherman, both ice fishing and shore/boat fishing in the summer. I enjoy working on my vehicles, too, be it preventa-tive maintenance or adding performance parts. I also LOVE to detail and clean up my vehicles as well as customers' vehicles. As far as my truck goes, it was the first-ever big purchase I made on my own in August of 2006. I bought it 100 percent stock and already had the silencer ring out before I left the dealership. It stayed stock up until a very nice gentleman offered to give me his Edge Comp box for free. I'm still thankful for that today. Ever since then, my truck has been constantly changing and all parts previously mentioned have been added with more planned!

About The Truck: I am a U.S. Navy Air Traffic Controller from West Valley, Utah. I have been in the Navy for seven years now. I bought my truck in May 2008 with 108,000 miles on it. It has become my workhorse/daily driver. I have done all the modifications myself, with the exception of the transmission. I am in the process of turning the entire exterior of the truck black and white. The only things I have left are the 2500 badges and some stickers.

About The Truck: I bought it from the original owner in December 2008 with 287,000 original miles on it. The original E4OD made it 100 miles short of 305,000. The truck currently has 306,000 miles and shows no signs of stopping. I use it as a daily driver and average 18 to 22 mpg with 3.55 gears. This thing has paid for itself more times than not, and I plan on driving it till it pukes!

About The Truck: I bought my first diesel truck in 2003, which was an '03 Chevy Duramax. Since then I have owned two Power Strokes and two Cummins trucks. My current ride is by far my favorite. About The Truck: I bought the truck a year old with 50,000 miles on it to tow my mud trucks. One thing led to another, and I'll never go back to gassers. About The Truck: This was my first diesel. I bought it used with 14,700 miles on it. It has been a great learning experience. I use it as my daily driver and will never go back to a gas vehicle again. I hope to get it on the dragstrip this coming season and see what it can do. About The Truck: The truck was bought new by my father in 2000—he used it to drive to church on Sundays. When I got the truck from him a little more than a year ago, I knew the spirit of the 7.3L was not being fulfilled, so it has been bombs away ever since. It has 130,000 miles under its belt. About The Truck: I purchased my truck in February 2001. I used it for work, and I was a commercial electrician, so it did get dirty. I was 25. Since then, it's been a very reliable truck. I'm on the second set of batteries and I've replaced the water pump. Last March was when the bombs started. It is a daily driver and fun to drive, but not as fast as my '02. I am a network engineer full-time and a professional pilot part-time.

About The Truck: I bought this truck used in July 2008. It had a lot of the mods on it, like the Buckstop bumper, AFE air intake, Line-X bedliner, A-pillar Isspro gauges (boost, EGT, and transmission temp), and the turnover ball gooseneck hitch by B&W. I was able to put some of my taste on it like the Recon roof lights and blacked-out headlights that came later (this photo was a before pic). I also put an 80-gallon transfer tank under the toneau cover. I've put on a CFM Plus intake elbow, tinted the front glass, added vent visors, and put a Z-Lift on it so I could run my new tires (35-inch Nitto Mud Grapplers) and rims. Yes, this is my daily driver and hauler/race truck. And I'm not done.

We had everything painted two-tone with black on top, and silver on the bottom.
