To get your truck featured in Readers’ Rides, email a high-resolution photo of your truck to Send in a front 3⁄4 or profile shot of your truck, and make sure it’s big enough. For a digital file, try to make it at least 1MB. Don’t use your cell phone! We print at a much higher resolution than a website, which means that sending links to photos posted online won’t work. Also, please make sure that the whole truck is in the frame, don’t cutoff the front or back of the truck. Remember, this is your pride and joy. Do your best to make your truck look it’s best. Also, make sure to include plenty of information about you and your truck. The more information, the better the article. If you want to get your ride noticed by posting it on our website, go to Upload up to 20 photos of your vehicle, along with detailed descriptions.
Billet Bow Tie
Brian Demkosky from Archibald, Pennsylvania, is the proud owner of this 2008 Chevy Silverado Z71. It is leveled out with a 2-inch leveling kit and rolls on 20-inch Giovanna wheels. Inside this extended cab, Brian installed an Edge Evolution CS programmer and a Pioneer in-dash DVD player with navigation and a backup camera. For increased performance, a K&N cold-air intake and Flowmaster after-cat exhaust was bolted on. Final touches include a billet grille and Bow Tie, and painted interior and exterior accent pieces.

Green With Envy
This truck belongs to someone we have worked with in the past for vehicle renderings. Nate Shrum, owner of North Face Graphix, owns this 2004 Chevy Colorado. It has the massive 3.5L inline-five engine that has been outfitted with a K&N intake, MagnaFlow exhaust, and a PCMforLESS tune. For a better stance, Nate installed a Belltech 2/3-inch drop kit, Belltech 2-inch drop ball joints, and a pair of Belltech sway bars. To the suspension, Nate bolted on a set of 18x8-inch wheels that he had powdercoated fluorescent green. The inside has been updated with an NRG leather quick-release steering wheel, houndstooth door panels, and a houndstooth headliner.

Sky-High Silvy
Corbin Sigurdsen from Rice Lake, Wisconsin, sent us pictures of his 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500. Lifted sky high with a 6-inch Superlift kit and a 3-inch body lift, this Silvy sits on 37-inch Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip tires on Mickey Thompson wheels. Helping out the 5.3L is a K&N intake, Hypertech programmer, and true dual exhaust. Corbin then had graphics airbrushed on the sides and hood.

Cold as Ice
This 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 sport belongs to Robert Fritts. Robert has built this truck with performance in mind, and started out by helping the 5.7L Hemi breathe easier with a Mopar cold-air intake and MagnaFlow after-cat exhaust. He then installed a Jet Performance throttle-body spacer and tuned it with a DiabloSport Predator. For audio, Robert installed a Kenwood Excelon head unit, JL Audio amp, and Infinity speakers. In the future, Robert wants to install long-tube headers, high-flow cats, and a cam. He also wants to spruce up the exterior with a ram-air hood, paint-matched plastics, and lower the truck a bit.

Superman inspired SuperCrew
Coming from all the way up in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, is Dan Bovaym and his 2004 F-150 SuperCrew. The first thing Dan did was give his truck some rumble with the help of a Magnaflow dual exhaust, while an AEM intake helps get more air into the engine. Twenty-two-inch Mega wheels and a 2-inch Roush lowering kit add a custom feel to the truck. Dan then had a custom vinyl wrap with the Superman Logo applied to the truck. Katzkin seat covers were used to freshen up the interior and a Clarion 7-inch head unit feeds two 12-inch Rockford Fosgate subs and Hertz speakers that fill the factory locations.

The Guide to Style
Not a stranger to customizing vehicles, Dakota Ard from Brookhaven, Mississippi, bought this 2010 Silverado brand new. He then updated the interior to leather and upgraded the audio system to two Memphis 12-inch subs, four Memphis 6½-inch speakers in the doors, and two amps powering all of the speakers. For the exterior, Dakota installed chrome door handles, billet grille and valance inserts, and shaved the tailgate handle. The 26-inch KMC Brodies wrapped in Kumho Ecsta 305/30R26 tires keep Dakota’s truck rolling in style.
