THIS Was a $1,200 Truck
Year/Make/Model: 1991 Dodge W250
Owner: Blaine Gordon
Hometown: Ft. Loudon, Pennsylvania
Engine: 5.9L Cummins
Air Intake: K&N
Injection pump: Bosch P7100 (swapped in)
Turbocharger: HX35
Head: Ported and polished with ARP head studs
Exhaust: 6-inch MBRP turbo-back

Wheel and tires: 16x10-inch Dick Cepek rims and 35x12.50R16 BFGoodrich Mud Terrains
Fuel economy: 27 mpg
Odometer: 151,597 miles
Other: Blaine says, “I drove this truck from my hometown to attend my first-ever Scheid Diesel Extravaganza. Nearly 100 miles into my trip, the clutch master cylinder went out. I still had another 468 miles to drive to make it to Terre Haute, Indiana. I did it without a clutch and have a $126.50 speeding ticket from the state of Ohio to prove it. The first person I met when I arrived was Dan Scheid himself. He helped me out and gave me the shop’s number. The guys at Scheid had me up and running within the hour. I greatly appreciated it being that far away from home.”

Diesel Stacks
Year/Make/Model: 1996 Ford F-250
Owner: Jared Mitchell

Wheel and Tires: 16x7-inch Alcoa rims and 285/75R16 Kelly Safari TSR
Ring and pinion: 4.10
Fuel economy: 14 to 16 mpg
Odometer: 104,000 miles
Other: Jared says, “My truck is old, beat up, and makes a lot of odd noises, but I love it and daily drive it everywhere. I have done everything you can think of that you can do with a truck. From landscaping to drag racing, she has done it all and keeps on going. I try to do all the work on it myself, including a full F-350 suspension swap and the flatbed. My favorite modification is definitely the CAT stack, because nothing beats the whistle and roar of a 7.3L Power Stroke.”

No Trailer Queen
Year/Make/Model: 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Fuel Economy: 18 to 20 mpg
Odometer: 300,000 miles
Other: Ryan says, “I use the truck for work out in the oil fields of Wyoming. I also use it for drag racing. Its best time so far is 13.25 seconds at 100 mph with a stock turbo, injectors, and a CP3 injection pump. I also use it to sled pull around Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada. The truck put down 502 hp and 983 lb-ft of torque through a stock Allison 1000 transmission on Gillett Diesel’s dyno in Riverton, Utah. This is no trailer queen—it gets driven every day.”
